Small, winding roads through vineyards and wine villages. Fast sections, short climbs, panoramic ridgelines – a route full of changing rhythms.
Sometimes fast and playful, sometimes surprisingly demanding. And again and again, roads that seem made for a road bike.
The Gran Fondo is LA REINE’s prestige distance – comparable to a major stage of the Tour de France Femmes. Definitely not a day you simply cruise through.
On selected timed sections, the clock is running. In between, there’s time for Culinary Stations and the shared experience.
ON THE GRAND STAGE
500 women. A start you will never forget.
Escorted by the police, the peloton rolls through the centre of Freiburg before heading out towards the vineyards of the Baden Wine Route.
Hours later, the finish line awaits on Münsterplatz, set against the backdrop of one of Germany’s most beautiful historic city centres.
The finisher party at Freiburg’s iconic Historisches Kaufhaus provides a fitting finale to a truly memorable day on the bike.
WE CONNECT · FRIDAY
Friday belongs to the Women’s Cycling Communities.
LA REINE brings together community leaders, clubs and creators from across Germany – to exchange ideas, find new inspiration and develop formats that move women’s cycling forward.
In the evening, everyone comes together for the big LA REINE Apéro at Hotel Stadt Freiburg.
We celebrate the start of the weekend – and, for the first time, the people shaping women’s cycling in Germany with the LA REINE Women’s Cycling Awards.
