LA REINE
Some roads change more than a ride.
They change the idea of who belongs on them.
When LA REINE was founded in Gstaad in 2021, there were almost no events created exclusively for women outside professional cycling. A few scattered communities. Occasional group rides. No real races. Hardly any spaces where women could experience road cycling in its full scale and beauty.
So we built exactly that.
Never smaller.
Never softer.
Never simplified.
And certainly not coffee rides with another lap around the block.
Instead:
mountain passes that demand something of you.
Long days in the saddle.
And the certainty that women on road bikes should never be underestimated — neither athletically nor culturally.
Today, women’s cycling is booming. Communities, rides and events are appearing everywhere. Yet LA REINE remains one of the very few platforms that continues to live this philosophy uncompromisingly.
We believe in the beauty of great challenges.
In elegance through effort.
And in women who are looking for more than participation alone.
But LA REINE has always been about far more than performance.
The light above the mountains.
The quiet rhythm of a long climb.
Handmade cakes along the way..
Conversations after hours on the bike.
And that rare feeling of being part of something larger — across borders, languages and backgrounds.
What began in Gstaad has grown into an international platform for women’s cycling: races, retreats, apparel — and a global community of women who do not see beauty and athletic ambition as opposites.
Today, LA REINE organises the largest women’s races in the world — and has become a reference point for what modern women’s cycling can be.
Beautifully demanding.
Part of this story are the personalities who shape LA REINE and carry it forward.
